The Greek of the New Testament refers to miracles by two words most accurately translated as signs and wonders. A miracle is something that points, as a sign, beyond itself. And it inspires wonder or awe. In some sense, then, the presence of miracles in the world depends on our willingness to find meaning and wonder in what we see.   We read in Acts , 2 and 17 of what “Jesus began to do and to teach.” The Gospels display the marvelous deeds the Lord began, and the Book of Acts tells of what continued through His Body in signs, wonders and miracles after His ascension. History has recorded incalculable examples of God’s continuing love and powerful interventions.

The miracles performed by the apostles merely attested to the validity of their apostleship, thus substantiating the truth of their message about Christ. The “preaching of the Gospel” was their commission, not the performing of miracles or healings. The book of Hebrews says that signs were used to “confirm” the word of God (Heb ). Hebrews confirms, "while God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will." These miracles, along with the resurrection of Jesus, the greatest miracle of all, have been recorded for our benefit.

Miracle of Miracles Wonder of wonders, miracle of miracles-God took up Daniel once again, Stood by his and side and- miracle of miracles- Walked him through the lions den! Wonder of wonders, miracle of miracles-I was afraid that God would frown, But like he did . Within the pages of this book, Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills helps you will discover how to lift your ministry from the dry and ordinary and into the world of the supernatural with miracles, healings, signs and wonders. Gain the understanding which helped launch Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills into a wordwide healing and evangelistic ministry.

Miracles and Other Wonders ''The Shark'' by Miracles And Other Wonders. When we think about miracles in the New Testament, we often consider the miracles of Christ in the Gospel accounts.

There are, however, many miracles recorded in the book of Acts. A survey of these miraculous works is worthy of our reflection. The other that the authority of the apostles as the rulers of the Church was greatly strengthened by these miracles being wrought exclusively by their hands. We cannot understand either the external relations of the Church to the world, or the internal relations of the people to their spiritual rulers, unless we duly take count of these two things.

The author of Hebrews makes it clear that the tongues, healings and other signs and wonders experienced during the book of Acts are the works of power of the Holy Spirit, and that these powers pertain to "the age to come." (Heb. ) That "age to come" is the literal year reign of God's Anointed One, His Messiah, in the millennial kingdom.

Meanwhile, there are other evangelical Christians who disagree, especially those who adhere to a “Dispensationalist” interpretation of the Bible.

These believers insist that the miracles described in the book of Acts were intended primarily as “signs” establishing the truth and validity of the Gospel in the earliest days of its progress.
